County Cup Final Here We Come...
The biggest match of the season so far arrived for the U12 Reds at home to Evergreen Wolves in the Semi-Final of the Hertfordshire County Challenge Cup, a match that no London Colney team had been in for 16 years.
In sunny, perfect football conditions the boys started as if they meant to get to the final, their 3rd Final of this season, and by half-time with goals from Seb and Omari they led 2-0. In a similar second half to the recent WFL Challenge Cup Semi-Final last weekend it was more even with Evergreen pushing on. Chances fell for both sides with Evergreen scoring a late consolation goal finishing it 2-1.
With heroics at the back again and another superb display from Alexei in goal, into Final number 3 of the season we march! History beckons for these boys over the next month or so! We are Colney Colts.....Superb boys. The photos show they enjoyed it.
Final to be played against Cheshunt Youth Blues on Sunday 6th May at 10:30 a.m, County Ground Lectchworth.
