The end of season tours have become a great “Colts tradition” & are a fantastic and fun way to wrap up the season. They are a wonderful opportunity to have fun, make memories and represent Colney Colts. This year our younger age groups (U7 - U11) entered the Hayling Island Tournament over the May Bank Holiday weekend.

All of our age groups put in maximum effort and reaped the rewards!

U7s

What a weekend for all Colts teams! Lawrence, Dave, Steve, Paul and Sam took two teams of Under 7s to the Hayling Island Tournament. Each and every one of our boys were an absolute credit to the themselves, their parents and the club, they played 120 minutes of competitive football over two days, with no subs for either team they knew they had to bring it and boy did they!

The blues were a mixture of Blues and Whites and the Reds were themselves but you could never have told they were two teams when off the field, the friendship that has clearly formed over the season was very apparent! The Reds got slightly further than the blues and through pure grit and determination saw themselves comfortably getting into the final. On the day, it wasn’t meant to be but the boys didn’t give up and battled to the end and came away as runners up.

Every single one of the 10 boys ( Elijah, Bob, Patrick, Harry, Simeon, Josh, Maxi, George, Ishan and Will) , played the best football we have seen all season: the passing, the communication and the pure determination to never give up was outstanding, we all couldn’t be prouder. 🥈🏆 I for one am proud of them all but am especially super proud of Elijah who won Under 7 player of the tournament, our little warrior really shows that you don’t have to be the biggest to be the best! 🥇🏆

Massive thanks to every parent, grandparent, family friend and friends that came to support our boys, but especially to their coaches named above , they wouldn’t be where they are without you and for that we are grateful!!! ⚽️🙌🏼💙 Thanks to Sarah and Ian for helping sort out the tour and Timeless Homes for the sponsoring the tour shirts. We truly are Colts family!! Next year Bournemouth, we are coming to get you!!
