Covid-19 Update Posted on 07/04/2020

Dear Players, Managers, Coaches, supporters and followers of London Colney Colts,

I hope you and your families remain well during this challenging time. Let me assure you that the Management Committee are meeting “virtually” and speaking regularly and first and foremost we ask that you all continue to follow all the Government Advice and Guidance. Following our last “meeting” yesterday (Monday 6th April) where we “met” to discuss several topics related to COVID-19, we feel that regular communication with you all is important so want to start sharing relevant updates with you as we have them.

2019/2020 Season Watford Friendly League (WFL) As you should all be aware by now, the FA recently announced that sadly all grassroots football is concluded for the 2019/2020 season. This allows us to move forward and now start planning for next season.

Eastern Junior Alliance (EJA) The EJA will continue to review the situation on an ongoing basis taking into account all Government advice and Guidance. I will keep you updated.

London Premier League (LPL) The London Premier Leaguewill continue to review the situation on an ongoing basistaking into account all Government advice and Guidance. I will keep you updated.

End of Season Presentation Unfortunately, the end of season presentation scheduled for 13th June has been cancelled. We are looking at and exploring alternative arrangements for later in the summer once restrictions are hopefully lifted and will update you as we have more information.

Trials We are continuing to plan and build for next season. As the open trials scheduled for 25th April and Saturday 2nd May can now not go ahead, we will hold team / age group specific trials during training once we are able to resume. We will keep you updated in line with Government advice and Guidance. As usual, we will be welcoming new teams at U7 (and possibly U8 based on interest).

Players Registration for 2020/21 We will be registering teams and players for next season over the coming weeks. Please can we urge all managers to organise the Registration of their players at the earliest opportunity this year. We will send you the necessary paperwork and information required as soon as we have this. Please use this time to speak to your players to confirm whether they plan to re-sign for next season.

Stay Home / Stay Safe We appreciate it’s a difficult time for all and that everyone is missing their football. We will continue to post fun training ideas, challenges, photo ‘s etc on our social media channels:
